POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

 

Position:             Assistant Campus Director

                           Exempt, Certified Administrator, Full-Time, 12-month Staff

                           District Employee Assigned to Afton Campus

 

Starting Date:      July 1, 2025

 

Reports to:          Campus Director       

 

Schedule:            General work schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, unless the assignment requires additional time for completion.

Compensation

Package:             $83,109 minimum annually, plus a salary supplement of $5,310 - $8,395 annually commensurate with experience, Health, dental, vision, paid life insurance, and teachers’ retirement paid; flexible benefits plan; sick leave, vacation, and paid holidays.  The total minimum compensation package is approximately $111,504.  

Primary

Function:            The primary focus will be to work in an Administrative capacity, assisting the current Campus Director with the operation and supervision of a technology center campus. This includes campus budgeting, curriculum development, counseling and discipline of students, evaluation of certified and non-certified personnel, public relations, transportation, maintaining physical facilities, and other duties as assigned by the Campus Director. Must also maintain positive public relations and professionally represent Northeast Technology Center at all times.

 

Education:          Earned Master’s degree in Education; Oklahoma School Secondary Administrator’s Certification required.

 

Experience:         A minimum of five years of experience as a building-level administrator is preferred. Career Tech experience preferred. Knowledge/experience in Instructional Leadership, including teacher evaluations, working with students’ behavior/discipline areas, academic achievement progress, Curriculum Development, Plans of Study, Career Clusters and Pathways, Knowledge of Oklahoma Promise and how post-secondary students can use it, and student portfolios. Knowledge/experience with Student Organizations desired.

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Exempt, Certified Administrator, Full-time, 12-month Staff

 

TITLE:            ASSISTANT CAMPUS DIRECTOR

 

Hours:  Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Supervisor retains the right to adjust the work schedule and job description/duties based on the needs of the district.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

      

  1. Comply with all state and federal laws, policies, and procedures of the school district.
  2. Attend meetings and provide information to the Superintendent and/or Campus Director as requested.
  3. Provide support and assistance to the Campus Director in assuring effective campus administration, operations, and instructional leadership in accordance with the District Strategic Plan.
  4. Supervise and provide instructional leadership for assigned programs, including assisting in the research, evaluation, and refinement of program changes in cooperation with program instructors and Northeast Tech’s Instructional Services department; observing and evaluating instructors to support the highest level of instructional competency.
  5. Ensure that a minimum of instructional time is utilized for non-instructional routines to maximize time on task.
  6. Work with staff in a professional manner to promote and improve instruction.
  7. Monitor student progress and recognize academic achievements.
  8. Attend professional development training opportunities as required by district policy.
  9. May assist in the recruitment of students for programs.
  10. Consult with the Communications Department regarding promotional materials.
  11. May provide formal presentations at partner high schools, participate in job and college fairs, and participate in community and civic events to raise awareness of technical training opportunities.
  12. Develop and enhance positive working relationships with partner school personnel and seek input and feedback from sending school personnel in order to improve program offerings district-wide.
  13. Work cooperatively with Career Readiness Center personnel to provide advice to students and the community in all facets of the educational realm, including career development.
  14. Initiate self-understanding and awareness of students’ potential in academic and technical areas.
  15. Present students with a logical and realistic approach to gaining their ultimate place in society; provide activities to address the needs of the students.
  16. Consult with teachers, staff, and parents to enhance their effectiveness in helping students.
  17. Provide guidance to students to acquire knowledge in several areas: career exploration, self-awareness, secondary and post-secondary educational and training information, job search skills, and employability skills.
  18. Analyze information about individuals through interviews, test results, and records in order to evaluate students’ interests, aptitudes, abilities, and personality characteristics for career planning and recruitment for technical training at all campuses; assist campus director with admissions and enrollment.
  19. May assist in the development and enhancement of Individual Career Academic Plans (ICAPs) as completed by the Career Readiness Center for all students.
  20. May assist partner schools with the development and implementation of Individual Career Academic Plans
  21. Provide information for students regarding opportunities for post-secondary education, financial aid, military, and higher education.
  22. Maintain and improve professional competence through participation in professional activities.
  23. Participate in an annual evaluation of performance with the Campus Director.
  24. The position will assume all responsibilities and duties in the absence of the Campus Director.
  25. Regular attendance following a designated work schedule; must be able to work scheduled and extended hours and additional days/evenings as required by position responsibilities.
  26. Any other responsibilities or duties assigned by the Supervisor and/or the Superintendent.

 

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:    

  1. Earned Master’s degree in education and valid Oklahoma School Administrator’s Certificate required.
  2. A minimum of five years of experience as a building-level administrator is preferred.
  3. Career Tech experience preferred.
  4. Knowledge/experience in Instructional Leadership, including teacher evaluations, working with students’ behavior/discipline areas, academic achievement progress, Curriculum Development, Plans of Study, Career Clusters and Pathways, knowledge of Oklahoma Promise and how post-secondary students can use it, and student portfolios. Knowledge/experience with Student Organizations desired.
  5. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
  6. Experience in making presentations before large groups.
  7. Evidence of skills important to fulfilling the position's responsibilities is important.
  8. Cannot be related to currently seated district school board members within the second degree of affinity or consanguinity.

 

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:   

  1. Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously with associated deadlines.
  2. Strong leadership, written, and verbal communication skills.
  3. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  4. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities.
  5. Must be capable of being calm and professional with numerous different personalities at various levels.
  6. Must be proficient in personal computer software, Microsoft, Apple, and/or Google.

 

Training and Meeting Requirements:

  1. View or attend required Safety Training either by video or in person on a quarterly basis.
  2. Attend professional development training opportunities as required by district policy.
  3. Attend meetings and provide information to the Administration or Board of Education as requested.

 

Work Environment:

  1. Operate in a professional office environment and/or classroom.
  2. Routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
  3. Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver’s license and ability to drive to meetings and training using a school

 

Physical, Mental Demands, and Dependability:

  1. Light physical effort is required, such as loading paper in the copier and answering and returning phone calls.
  2. Must be able to care for oneself, see, hear, walk, stand, lift, bend, reach, climb, stoop, squat, speak, breathe, learn, read, concentrate, think, and perform work by doing manual tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation.

 

Reports to:        Campus Director

 

Terms of Employment:           

Employment is considered annually in accordance with Oklahoma law. Compensation is to be determined by the board.

 

Annual Evaluation:

The performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with Oklahoma law and the provisions of the board’s policy on evaluations.
